SAUDI TRAVEL AGENTS "LIVE BAHRAIN"

Bahrain Airport Company hosts Gala Dinner for Eastern Province Travel Agents

Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikha Mai bint Mohamed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) hosted a lively gala dinner on Tuesday evening for travel agents based in Saudi's Eastern Province in appreciation of their support and contribution to the economy of Bahrain and business of Bahrain International Airport (BIA).

Titled "Live Bahrain", the gala dinner was held at Gulf Hotel's Awal Ballroom and demonstrated to the travel agents that Bahrain remained a welcoming destination for tourists.It also highlighted that airlines operating at BIA offer passengers access to an exclusive network of international destinations, led by the national carrier, Gulf Air, who provide flights to the highest concentration of regional destinations.This position is further strengthened by BAC's continuous commitment to support its client airlines.

"Travellers residing in Saudi make up a significant proportion of BIA's passenger traffic, choosing to fly through the Airport for its friendly and convenient travelling experience," commented Gordon Dewar, CEO of BAC. "Tonight, we want their travel agents to see first-hand, that this experience continues andto demonstrate that BAC and its Airportpartners are committed to continuing and developing the levels of hospitality, and service that BIA is renowned for."

"Live Bahrain" was attended by over 120 representatives of travel agents from the Eastern Province. Also present were officials from BAC; BIA operational partners, including the Civil Aviation Authority, Bahrain Airport Services, Bahrain Duty Free and the Ministry of Interior's Airport functions; representatives of Airlines operating from BIA,Ministry of Culture, including the Tourism Directorate; the Economic Development Board and members of the press. Highlights of the gala dinner included local musical performances by Bin Faris, La Modiva and a traditional A'ardha dance.
