Bahrain Airport Company Plans to Take the Airport to New Heights of Performance
17 Janauary 2010
Bahrain Airport Company have announced their plans to improve the Airport’s parking facilities in order to enhance the overall Airport experience.
“We are already abreast of the current issues facing the Airport’s users and have been acting proactively to tackle the restrictions imposed by the Airport’s limited area of land, with high priority placed on providing long-term solutions rather than quick fixes,” said Dr. Osama Al Ali, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company.
As part of the major infrastructure improvement plans the Airport is presently undergoing, the Company has already laid plans to re-innovate the entire Airport experience over several phases. This will include the shortly coming valet parking service, introducing extra parking space, as well as policies devised to encourage visitors to use the long-stay service if they intend to leave their vehicles over extended periods; whereas the short-stay parking will be solely dedicated to the Airport’s regular daily visitors. This will be followed by constructing a multi-storey parking building to be used for long-stay parking. In the long run, the Company will move long-stay parking farther from the Airport terminals, in order to provide more convenient access to daily short visitors.
Dr. Osama added, “We are fully committed to the comfort of our visitors, and will tirelessly work on making Bahrain International Airport a destination in its on right, through introducing unforgettable experiences for them on their travels."
This expansion will also be accompanied by enhanced parking and traffic regulations designed to ensure safe parking for all.
Bahrain International Airport is undergoing a large-scale development plan aimed at elevating the Airport's status to international standards. This will include adding more capacity to both existing and future terminals and ensuring maximum flexibility and convenience for visitors.
