Bahrain Airport Company earns praise at the Singapore Airshow 2010

Bahrain Airport Company participated in the Singapore Airshow, which was scheduled from January 31 to February 7. The Singapore Airshow is considered to be amongst the world’s top 3 aviation events, and the biggest aerospace and defence exhibition in the world.

It offers a business-to-business environment and serves as a global marketplace and networking powerhouse for the world aviation community. The event consists of aviation leadership forums, static exhibits of aircrafts, aviation machinery and exhibition booths.

More than 800 exhibitors from 48 different countries participated in the air show. The delegates represented various sectors of the aviation industry, ranging from international airports, component manufacturers, maintenance repair & operations, aircraft manufacturers, defense forces and many more.

The Bahrain Airport Company was a part of the dynamic Bahrain stand along with four other Bahrain based companies - Bahrain Airport Services, Civil Aviation Authority, Gulf Air and Batelco. The objective was to promote the country as a destination as well as an aviation hub. Mr. Tood Stephenson, GM Sales & Marketing – Pacific Aerospace, said, “It is great to see Bahrain working hard to make a prominent presence in the global aviation map.”

The Bahrain Airport Company shared with the public its mission and vision statements, as well as their timeline for the massive expansion plan that includes a stylish and modern infrastructure, and operational efficiency. “I was pleased to participate and make the aviation industry aware of Bahrain Airport Company. I am proud and happy to have had the opportunity to represent Bahrain along with our partners in this prestigious aviation event,” stated Mahmood Qannati, Branding and Communications Manager Bahrain Airport Company.

Amongst the delegates who praised the plan was Mr. Robert L. Lekites, President – USP Airlines, who commented, “Excellent expansion plans, it is great to see an airport with specific focus on infrastructure and operational efficiency.”
