Rules and Regulation on Obtaining Visit Visa to Bahrain
Health
Vaccination against Yellow Fever is required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting infected areas.
Exempt are: Children under 1 year & transit passengers not leaving the airport
Note: Not required for those not leaving the airport in the areas concerned.
Customs
Free import by passengers of 18 years and over:
• 400 cigarettes, 50 cigars and 1/4 kilo of tobacco, in opened packets;
• 8 ozs of perfume;
• 1 litre bottle of alcoholic liquor and 6 cans of beer for non-Moslem passengers only;
• Gifts up to maximum of BHD 250.
Import permit required for arms and ammunition, mentholated spirits, intoxicating drugs and jewelry.

Cats & Dogs from Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Comores lsl. Denmark, Djibouti, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland , Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Netherlands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Qatar, Samoa (American), Samoa (western), Singapore, Solomon lsl., Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Virginia (USA): Health certificate and certificate from the competent authorities at origin stating that the animal is free from rabies. |

Other animals
Health certificate and (if arriving from countries other than: Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Ireland( Rep), Japan, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland and United Kingdom ) additional prior permission from the Bahrain Ministry of Commerce.
Currency
Import and Export : Local currency (Bahrain Dinar - BHD) and foreign currencies no restriction.
