Minister of Transportation announces the launch of National Operations Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) familiarisation programme

His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed announced the official launch of the National Operations Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) familiarisation programme for Bahrain International Airport’s (BIA) new Passenger Terminal Building. It will see more than 5,800 BIA stakeholders undergo a series of comprehensive training workshops over the next seven months to ensure that all parties involved with the new facility are prepared for its opening in the third quarter of this year.

Bahrain Airport Company has awarded a contract to Jashanmal for the new Passenger Terminal Building

Bahrain Airport Company has awarded a contract for the development and operation of two convenience, tobacco, and news outlets at Bahrain International Airport’s new Passenger Terminal Building to Relay, one the world’s leading travel retail brands. Bahrain Airport Company Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah and Jashanmal Group General Manager, Julien Perra signed the five-year agreement at Bahrain International Airshow 2018.

Duty Free agreement to transform shopping experience at new Passenger Terminal Building

A key contract aimed at enhancing the duty free offerings at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) was awarded on the final day of this year’s Bahrain International Airshow, BIA’s operator and managing body, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced. In line with the agreements, Bahrain Duty Free Company (BDFC) will invest a range of retail outlets at the Duty Free, located in the Departures area of the new Passenger Terminal Building.

Bahrain Airport Company CEO signs agreements with leading telecom providers for new terminal

The Kingdom’s three leading telecom operators will provide their services at Bahrain International Airport’s (BIA) new Passenger Terminal Building, ensuring broader and faster mobile coverage for travellers and tenants, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) announced. BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah signed the respective 5-year agreements with Batelco Acting/Consumer Unit General Manager, Maha Abdulrahman, Zain Bahrain General Manager, Mohammed Zainalabedin, and VIVA Bahrain Chief Executive Officer, Ulaiyan Al Wetaid.

Bahrain Airport Company awards contract for design and supervision of BD 22 million Cargo Area

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) appointed French engineering company Egis as a consultant to provide design and supervision services for Bahrain International Airport’s new (BIA) BD22 million Cargo Area, a state-of-the-art facility that will help turn logistics and air cargo into one of Bahrain’s primary industries. Comprised of warehouses, aircraft parking and associated infrastructure, the development is in line with the objectives of the Coordinating Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
