Gulf Air Holding Company (GFG)

Gulf Air Group Holding Company was founded in 2010 to consolidate the aviation assets of Mumtalakat, the Kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund. The company aims to improve coordination amongst the various entities within the group in order to enhance the contribution of the aviation sector to Bahrain’s economy and maximise stakeholder value. The group is the sole shareholder of Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport, and Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), the Kingdom's premier Aviation and Logistics training academy. It also holds shares in other aviation sector entities, including Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), Bahrain Duty Free Company, Gulf Handling Company (GHC), SSP Bahrain, Hala Bahrain and BAC Jet Fuel Company.
