Bahrain Airport Company donates gourmet food from Ramadan staff ghabga to “Bahrain Food Bank”

In keeping with the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport, donated untouched leftover food from its annual Ramadan staff ghabga to the Bahrain Food Bank, a non-profit organisation that collects and distributes surplus food from hotels to needy individuals and families.

Bahrain Airport Company employees distribute iftar boxes to passengers at Bahrain International Airport

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) employees distributed iftar boxes to passengers breaking their fast at Bahrain International Airport. The month-long Iftar Sa’em campaign is part of the company’s social responsibility strategy of promoting charitable acts and contributing towards the wellbeing of the local community. BAC is aiming to make a difference through this campaign, which reflects the trademark hospitality the Kingdom of Bahrain is known for. Similar to last year, BAC will be distributing 9,000 iftar meal boxes to passengers at Bahrain International Airport.

Bahrain Airport Company hosts annual Ghabga for its partners

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, BAC, the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), hosted its annual Ghabga at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel. The event was a token of appreciation for the continuous support of BAC’s partners in the private and public sectors, airlines that operate out of BIA, and the media for their year-round coverage of the company's events and activities.

Minister of Transportation: more than 5,000 airport stakeholders undergoing training for operation of new terminal

His Excellency, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman, Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed chaired the 8th meeting of the National Operations Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) Steering Committee. The committee was formed to oversee the smooth transition of operations to Bahrain International Airport’s (BIA) new Passenger Terminal Building as per Royal Order (10) for 2017, issued by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Bahrain Airport Company Bahrainisation rate to reach 90% by 2021, Minister of Transportation pledges

His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed revealed plans to increase BAC’s Bahrainisation rate to more than 90% by 2021. BAC put in place further training and development plans at the beginning of this year to steadily increase the number of Bahrainis within its ranks until the company reaches this target. The recruitment of Bahraini professionals and their training and development have been essential parts of BAC’s growth strategy since 2010, allowing it to achieve an impressive 80% Bahrainisation rate to date.
