New Bahrain Airport Company and Bahrain Limo agreement adds extra comfort to shuttle experience

Passengers and staff using the long-term parking facilities at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) will soon enjoy a more comfortable, convenient, and customer-oriented shuttle bus service to and from the terminal, BIA’s operator and managing body, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), announced following the signing of a key contract with Bahrain Limo, one of the Kingdom’s leading transportation providers.

In line with the agreement, Bahrain Limo will operate the 24/7 service between the terminal building, Car Park D, and the Overflow Car Park, backed by a brand new fleet of minibuses. This increases the number of shuttles in service to 12. The new models feature a more spacious interior that can accommodate a higher number of passengers, as well as dedicated luggage areas.

BAC Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah and Bahrain Limo Chief Executive Officer, Adel Almuhaizea signed the four-year agreement in the presence of representatives from both companies.

Mr Al Binfalah said: “One of the Airport Modernisation Programme’s most important objectives is to enhance the overall airport customer experience, which begins the moment visitors arrive at BIA. These new 25-seater shuttles are a major upgrade over the previous vehicles, completely transforming the journey from BIA’s parking facilities to the terminal, making it more comfortable and more convenient. In addition, they are equipped with GPS tracking software and CCTV cameras for added safety and security. We are confident that passengers and staff alike will notice an immediate improvement in the level of service.”

Mr Al Binfalah added: “Developing BIA’s car park operations and infrastructure also aligns with our strategic objectives to maintain business and performance improvement, and develop our business model with stakeholders.”

Mr Almuhaizea said: “We are very happy to announce that Bahrain Limo has resumed its shuttle services at Bahrain International Airport, and we would like to thank Bahrain Airport Company for giving us this opportunity. We will make sure that we provide the best possible transportation services to all of our passengers. Our fleet is comprised of the latest models, which are all equipped with GPS, CCTV and other safety and security features, ensuring they meet the world’s highest standards for limousines and coaches.”

The complimentary shuttle service is available to all passengers using Car Park D and the Overflow Car Park, and runs every 15 minutes. The Overflow Car Park is located north of the runway within the airport’s premises on Galali Road and consists of 4,000 parking spaces. It also has air-conditioned passenger waiting areas and other support facilities.
